Letters Between Two Sisters

Dear Lorinda,

I only have a few minutes. I took little JT to the ear-nose-throat doctor. This is probably too much information, but my dear sweet child had more wax in his ears than I ever knew was possible. The doctor looked in his ears before cleaning them out. The right ear was really bad, he said. The left ear, not as bad. So he cleaned the left ear first. As I watched all the wax come out, I thought "If this is 'not as bad', I'm scared to see what bad is!" It was bad. He had to use an ear vacuum! So, little JT is now waxless. And I'm glad I decided to go because it turns out he does have an ear infection in his right ear. Poor little guy.

Unfortunately, he fell asleep on the drive home. I tried so hard to get him in his crib so he could continue his nap. I got him out of the car still asleep. We got inside with him still asleep. I took his shoes off with him still asleep. But of course as soon as I went to lay him down he woke up. I gave him some milk, and put him down, but unfortunately, he still hasn't fallen asleep, and I probably need to go get him.

But the good news is that I am headed to South Carolina TOMORROW! We get to see each other in just a few days. It will be here before you know it!
